(New York, NY) October 25, 2011 – “FOCUS/VIRUS,” the first full length album from Brooklyn-based electro-dance darlings, TAYISHA BUSAY, is an infectious and powerful follow-up to their 2010 debut “SHOCK-WOO”. Featured by such outlets as Gawker, LOGO and the Paris-based Le Figaro, Tayisha Busay has gained a dedicated cult following based on their popular and electrifying party tracks landing them leading performances at the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, CMJ, NYC Pride and Phasefest DC along with accolades including the NYC Rising top 5 bands in NYC award by SESAC and the MUSEBOX as well as the Deli of the Month band award.

Their highly anticipated new album, “FOCUS/VIRUS”, digs into the darker side of the dance-floor with
13 new songs that showcase a diverse and innovative collection of sparkling sounds. Big dance floor beats, R&B inspired vocals and contagious synth hooks burst throughout the collection of electro dance confections while still maintaining a soulful and emotional depth. As explained by the trio themselves, “Imagine the love child of Cyndi Lauper and Trent Reznor raised on The Cosby Show.”

Moreover, “FOCUS/VIRUS” is a heartfelt chronicle of the life of a glamorous gutter band navigating love, hardship, technology and Brooklyn. “FOCUS/VIRUS” represents a modern anthem of triumph in the face of adversity and the importance of fighting from the heart. With 2010’s “SHOCK-WOO”, TAYISHA BUSAY solidified their place in Brooklyn’s music scene as a hard-partying and entertaining tour de force while “FOCUS/VIRUS” is a clear call to arms to existing and future fans that Tayisha Busay is here to stay and they’re not playing around.
